Author/credentials: Laura Hauslaib-BA, Leadership in Education Adolescent Health, AOL Youth Web Advisory Coordinator, CYWH Health Education writer.

Description of Site: This site is recommended for the female audience. Throughout this website, there are several different sections regarding many topics of adolescence. Ones pertaining to sexuality and education are: Contraception/Birth Control, General Sexual Health (more specifically, Making Healthy Decisions), and Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Other Infections. There is also another section devoted completely to parents which gives tips on how to talk to children about sex.
Although there are no graphs and charts, Adolescent Health is very informative and useful. It is not designed specifically just for kids or just for adults; it educates both, to make the topic of sex less uncomfortable. It covers every aspect of sex a young female could need and does need to be educated on to make healthy decisions. After reading each section of content, there are helpful quizzes at the end to confirm what the user has learned and what the user needs to reread. Since this site has been updated recently, it includes relevant information for this day and age.
There are many other reputable websites that include a link to Adolescent Health in their websites, which reinforces that this site is a reliable one. Adolescent Health also contains links to other sites for even more information if the reader still has questions. The whole site is relevant to its audience, so there isn't one particular area more informative than the other. The most unique part of this site is the quiz provided at the end of each section which helps to reinforce what is being taught.

Title: Answers to Your Questions about Teen Sexual Health and Sexually Transmitted Diseases
URL: www.iwannaknow.org
Sponsor and Author: ASHA (American Social Health Association)
Date Posted: 2006
Description of Site: This site is most beneficial to adolescents, however, there is a section designated specifically for parents. There are charts which help to decipher the differences between each and every STD which can be acquired. With up-to-date information, this site provides knowledge to those seeking answers to questions ranging from puberty to protection, to prevention of STDs. Iwannaknow.org is useful because it takes a large topic and breaks it down into several different subtopics, making it easy to learn and understand sexuality. There is also a section called Frequently Asked Questions, which is helpful if you're looking for a common question and do not have the time to read through the entire site.
One of the most beneficial portions of this site is the Teen Live Forum which allows teenagers to email the specialists, whom created the site, with specific questions or problems they may be experiencing, and in return, the specialists respond to them with answers. This is helpful because many adolescents feel uncomfortable asking their parents questions regarding sex, so this provides them with the answers they need. Many other reputable sites include a link to this site in their own websites, and in return this site also includes links to several other websites for more information.
