PA Literacy Corps

Students volunteered for the Altoona Community Education Program, Pa Literacy Council Program as Senior Computer Tutors. Students worked along side Stacey Corle, Literacy Corps Volunteer Coordinator and Jan Schmittle, who actually taught the classes. Each student involved was committed to a 40-hour program that earned certification as Pennsylvania Literacy Corps trainers. Each student directly assisted two seniors in learning basic use and certain common applications of personal computers.
