Nedra Farcus is an instructor for Penn State Altoona's RN –BSN Nursing Program, she has extensive experience in community-based nursing instruction covering both theoretical and clinical preparation. Her recent work has emphasized Nursing Informatics, the use of computers and electronic communication technologies in improving nursing instruction, nursing care, and patient instruction; and she has contributed significantly to several major initiatives in distance learning and online instruction for nurses. In addition, she has actively participated in applied issues of ethics in nursing practice, and has published in this critical area.
