Toddler Time

Courses involved: HD FS 496
Faculty Involved: Kevin Galbraith, Ph.D.

Students organized an educational playgroup for parents and young children. The purpose of the group was to provide time when parents and their children could meet and interact on a weekly basis in order to meet the social and emotional needs. The following individuals and agencies were involved in planning and preparing for Toddler Time, Susanna Tomlinson, Penn State, YWCA, a staff member from Fairview Hills, and the Family Resource Center. The response from the residents was minimal and so these efforts were a learning experience for the students on generating interest and recruiting residents.
