Associate Degree in Business Administration [http://www.outreach.psu.edu/programs/psu4you/AssociateinBusinessAdministration.htm]
Today's business world demands that successful professionals have a
comprehensive knowledge of the economic climate. The associate degree
program in business administration, approved by Penn State Altoona, is
designed to help you gain a more comprehensive understanding of the
fundamental business components. The objective is to develop
well-rounded and technically competent graduates through socially
relevant course work, options in specific business specialties, and the
opportunity to build adequate communication and math skills. Whether
you want to advance your career or complete a degree, you'll find a
valuable business foundation in this program.
Basic (18 credits) [http://www.outreach.psu.edu/programs/psu4you/CB_default.htm] and Advanced (15 credits) [http://www.outreach.psu.edu/programs/psu4you/CAB_default.htm] Business Certificates
Penn State's basic business certificate program can provide you
with a solid foundation in essential business concepts and offers a
convenient way to "step up" to a degree. The basic certificate program
can give you an understanding of management and marketing, and help you
improve your written English, and it allows you to customize your
learning through a series of business-related electives to meet your
specific needs and interests. The advanced business certificate builds
upon the basic business certificate, with a focus on developing the
students' communication and math proficiencies, and also provides a
flexible way for students to explore more of the functional fields of
business. Both certificates allow you to customize your learning
through a series of business-related electives that match your current
work responsibilities or interests. Once you've completed both
certificates, you'll have nearly half the credits required for our
associate degree in business!
Business Essentials Certificate (13 credits) [http://www.outreach.psu.edu/programs/psu4you/CBE_default.htm]
Business Essentials is a two-part, professional development program
for adult learners, providing information on marketing, organizational
behavior, accounting, and business strategy for working professionals.
The program provides a valuable credential for technical or other
nonbusiness professionals who are relatively new to the business world
(one to five years into their first professional position) and who are
interested in supplementing their professional knowledge with business
knowledge.
