PROGRAM NOTES:

All entrance to major requirements must be met or in progress by a student's fourth semester. In addition to the necessary coursework, students must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, have passed the Praxis I PPST with qualifying scores, and completed 80 service hours.

Students should keep in mind that all science courses must be completed before the Language and Literacy Block that is taken in Semester V or Semester VI. ENG 15 should be taken as early as possible.

400 Level Courses should not be taken until the end of the students 3rd semester or after three semesters of coursework.

It is strongly recommended that students take ENGL 202 before LL ED Block.

Advising Notes:

122-126 Credits are Required

There are prerequisites for clinical experiences. Students must apply and be accepted into these classes.

Students must complete at least 3 cr. of IL AND 3 cr. Of US cultures selections. Many of the Geography choices also meet this requirement.

Science selections should be chosen from lists and include a biological science, an earth science and a physcial science. One of the selections must include a lab.
