Have you been asked to write a letter of recommendation for a student? You may want to review these helpful tips before you start.

Academic Internship Office

Career Counseling: If you find a student may benefit from career testing to gain insight about his/her interests, abilities, and values, please recommend our services or set up an appointment for the student to meet with a career counselor.

Choosing a Major: Perhaps the student is very distressed about making a decision about which major to declare. Recommend that he/she register for our CN ED 100, Effective Career Decision Making Course offered in fall and spring.

Resumes: When students are preparing for their job hunts, some may find it difficult to put their resumes and cover letters together.  Refer students for a resume critique appointment.

Interviewing: If a student is anxious about an interview or has never been through the interviewing process, suggest the student take advantage of our mock interviewing program.

Graduate/Professional School: If a student is applying to a graduate/professional schools and needs assistance preparing their application, refer him/her to our office.
