DUAL ENROLLMENT AGREEMENTS
High school administrators who are interested in dual enrollment agreements should contact Carl Larsen, Director of Planning, at 949-5282 or
CKL7@psu.edu.
Please note the following guidelines for dual enrollment agreements through Penn State Altoona:
- High school seniors who wish to enroll for courses under this policy must meet PACE eligibility standards as outlined earlier.
- No student who has graduated from high school may enroll through high school dual enrollment.
- Penn State Altoona will provide a 50% grant-in-aid to eligible high school students who wish to enroll non-degree in Penn State course work.
- It is the expectation that high school students will enroll in course work delivered at Penn State Altoona.
- Course work delivered at a high school must be taught by full-time Penn State Altoona faculty. Any arrangements for courses delivered at the high school will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and will need to include the appropriate division head and the Director of Continuing Education in discussions.
- High school students may enroll for a maximum of 8 credits per semester, including summer.
- High school students may not enroll in remedial course work at Penn State.
- Students enrolling through Project 720 must schedule courses that have been approved by the high school's Concurrent Enrollment Committee.
- Dependents of Penn State "regular" employees as defined by HR Policy 05 are exempt from grants-in-aid specific to this policy (see
http://guru.psu.edu/policies/OHR/hr05.html).
If you are working on a Project 720 initiative and need a formal dual enrollment agreement and/or representatives from Penn State Altoona, please contact Carl Larsen, Director of Planning, at 949-5282 or
