2007 – 2008 Meningitis Vaccine
The law requires that all students living on campus must receive the meningococcal vaccination before residing in the Residence Halls. The American College Health Association in collaboration with the CDC recently made new recommendations. All college students under 25 years of age are strongly encouraged to reduce their risk of infection by getting the meningitis vaccine.
The Penn State Altoona Health & Wellness Center will be offering the Meningitis vaccine during the First-Year Testing, Counseling and Advising Program (FTCAP). Please contact our office at least one week prior to your FTCAP session to schedule an appointment at 814-949-5540.
The cost of meningitis shot is $120.00 made payable by cash or check.
