Study Abroad in Rome...
Program Description
The international program in Human Development and Family Studies offers a unique opportunity for students in Human Development and Family Studies and related fields to explore the sights and sounds of contemporary Rome, as well as the history and culture of this, the Eternal City, while taking courses on family and childhood in Italy. Our classroom work will be enhanced by trips to places of historical and artistic importance, both within Rome, and in other parts of Italy, so that students may see for themselves the communities that families and children have lived in, and do live in. Our trips will also be the means of studying the art and architecture of Rome and Italy over the centuries, from ancient Roman and Etruscan times, through the Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and the Risorgimento periods to the current period.

The program is tentatively set for May 12 to June 27, 2008

Early application deadline December 14, 2007
Applications received between Dec. 15 and Jan. 25 will be accepted as long as space is available.
