Program Goals
The purpose of the International Program in Human Development and Family Studies is to add an international perspective to the undergraduate experience of students in this major.


Program Objectives
  • expand student horizons in world culture and diversity.
  • provide students from a rural area in the United States with experience of the day-to-day life in a city
  • provide an international perspective and context for the study of human development and families, specifically by
  • looking at architecture and cityscape as the context for family life
  • observing the world of young children, and the social policies that support that world.
  • studying the Italian family and how it has functioned in different ages.
