Disability ServicesPenn State Altoona is strongly committed to providing equal access to its academic programs and services for all students with disabilities that are otherwise qualified.

The University is responsible for ensuring that courses, programs, services, jobs, activities and facilities are available and usable in the most integrated and appropriate settings. Under section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act an individual must have a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more life activities such as walking, seeing, hearing, learning, etc. A student must meet the academic and technical standards of a program to participate in the educational program or activity.
