General Medicine Clinic
General medicine clinic is provided for any condition that is not life threatening or emergent. In this setting your medical condition is evaluated, treated and followed. Examples of conditions that we see during general medicine clinic are: flu symptoms, respiratory conditions, sports injuries, urinary tract infections, rashes, mononucleosis, and physicals for driver’s licenses or employment.
Laboratory Services
Laboratory services are provided for students being seen in Health Services. Strep A, Mono spot, urinalysis, pregnancy testing, glucose, and hemoglobin are laboratory services provided on site. Chemistry and other specialty testing is available with collaboration with local urgent care laboratories. We also offer confidential HIV testing. HIV testing results can only be provided to the patient in person, never via phone or mail. All laboratory tests done within the clinic must be ordered by a Health Service clinician.
Medications
Health Services carries a variety of prescription and nonprescription medications on site for students being evaluated. Pricing is moderate compared to outside resources. Students who wish to use their prescriptive insurance card may obtain written prescriptions to have filled at a local pharmacy.
How to schedule
Visits to Health Services can be scheduled by phone or by walking in to the Center. We strive to provide same day service for most medical appointments. Please arrive 15 minutes early for your scheduled appointment to allow for paper work to be completed. If an appointment cannot be kept the student needs to call and cancel. A no show fee of $20.00 will be charged if the student fails to cancel.
