Special Notes on this Tutorial
To use this tutorial you must have a working install of Windows. It is also assumed that you have a working modem
installed correctly.
Step One: Opening My Desktop Properties
The first step to installing a new driver is to go to your desktop and find the My Computer icon;
once located, right click on the My Computer icon, and select properties in the menu that appears.
If there is no My Computer icon on your desktop, then it's probably under your start menu.
Step Two: Opening the Device Manager
Now click on the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
Step Three: Selecting the Device to update
Now under Device Manager click on the device you want to update or fix the driver. To do this you will double click
on the device you want to update the driver for. At the next menu you will select the drivers tab; once there
select Update Driver.
Step Four:
You will now be prompted with a menu that asks how you would like to install the driver, select the radio button
that says Install the software automatically Then you will click next. This will connect to the internet and
search for an update driver. If there is one, it will be retrieved and installed.
