Special Notes on this Tutorial
To use this tutorial you must have a working install of Microsoft Windows, a working modem, and that you have the
wireless set to look for pennstate as the ESSID. This tutorial also assumes you have the vpn client installed.
It can be obtained from either the ResTECH center or online by clicking
here.
Step One: VPN Client Configuration
Go to the Start Menu, and locate the vpn-client. Select Penn State Altoona. When prompted for your username and
password, supply it. When you've connected, you can then begin to connect to the internet.
Step Two: Testing the Connection
Open up a web browser, and then try to open a webpage. If you're able to, then you're golden. If not, report to/call
ResTECH for further assistance.
