Notes regarding forms for Students in the Altoona Honors Program:
1. All students: once a year, fill out the Honors Program Data Sheet.
2. Honors scholarship recipients: fill out the Annual Academic Plan at start of
Fall semester.
3. If you are not taking an Honors Section, to get your Honors credits fill out one of the following:
a. Honors Option
b. Honors Independent Study and/or Research with
Faculty
c. Honors English 30S (i.e., not the official Honors
Program section)
d. Student
teaching
e. Study abroad
For items a, b, and c, the Honors
credits will show up on your transcript. Be aware of two tricky details:
English 30S will end up as an English 30T (since, in this context, the "T" means
Penn State Honors). Also, writing across the curriculum courses will have
their "W" change to an "M" (again, the "M" means Penn State Honors).
For items d and e, we cannot add
anything special to your transcript to indicate Honors credits. However,
your Honors requirement will be waived for three credits (i.e., for one
semester).
