Veterans Day Event
Thursday, November 12, 2009, Slep Student Center, 7:00 - 8:30 PM
This is an opportunity to honor our veterans and also learn a little history.
After some introductory words by Sergeant First Class
Rick C. Rickman, we will show an episode of Band of Brothers (the excellent HBO
series about "Easy Company" during WW2). Pizza and beverages will be
provided. This is the first Veterans Day observance
organized by the Honors Program and we hope it will become a standard annual
event.
Leadership Team Evening Meeting
Tuesday, November 10, 2009, Olive Garden (on Planck Road), 7:00 - 8:30 PM
This is a special evening meeting (we usually meet at lunchtime).
If you are on the Leadership Team, or are not but have thought about attending
a meeting, then this Olive Garden meeting is probably the one to attend!
We will talk about plans for Honors events in the spring semester, and any other
events that we might want this semester.
Honors Reception
Tuesday, September 1, 2009, Port Sky Special Events Room, 5:15 - 6:30 PM
Once again, we will have our annual welcome back
reception in the Port Sky Special Events Room. We will have some new freebies to
give out (including the Honors hoodie) as well as the usual questionnaire regarding Honors events that you would like
to have.
