B.A. in Integrative Arts (IARAL)
Welcome
WHAT IS INTEGRATIVE ARTS?
The Integrative Arts program at Penn State Altoona allows you to create an arts concentration based on your interests and your eventual career goals.
For instance, a student might:
Combine the study of one or more art forms with internship experiences and courses in finance and management to begin a career in arts administration.
Combine coursework in the arts with courses in Health and Human Development to prepare for graduate work in art, dance, or music therapy.
Combine courses in art, graphic design, photography, creative writing, and computer science to pursue a career in the field of website development and design.
Or combine courses in engineering and art/design to gain employment in the industrial design field.
Working closely with an advisor, Integrative Arts majors design their own four-year programs, choosing from courses in art history, music, dance, theatre, film and video, visual arts, performance art, creative writing, and communications, among others.
