From the president...
 It’s hard to believe that another academic
year has gone by. During this time, the
Penn State Altoona Alumni Society
Board of Directors has been working
tirelessly to create
various activities
and programs to
benefit the
College, the
alumni, and the
community.
We’ve had a busy
year and I want to
express my thanks
and appreciation for all of the Board’s
hard work and dedication in promoting
Penn State Altoona. It is an honor to
serve the Alumni Society as its president.
I also wish to recognize the significant
and substantial contribution and
leadership of our past president, Eric
Casanave. Eric’s boundless enthusiasm
and active interest in the Alumni Society
during his term provided a very positive
focus and notable record of
accomplishment. I certainly will continue
to rely on his input and advice in
continuing the forward direction that he
put into motion.
It is an exciting time to be a part of
Penn State Altoona. Thanks to the many
contributions of dedicated and caring
people, the campus continues to grow.
I am continually impressed by the caliber
of people connected with the school.
We have wonderful alumni, a fantastic
Alumni Board, and a dedicated Advisory
Board. We are all connected to an
institution of faculty and staff focused
on enhancing the students’ intellectual,
social, emotional, and artistic growth.
I invite you to participate in some way to
help continue building this outstanding
College. Please contact the Alumni
Office with your thoughts or ideas—
we’d love to have you get involved,
through activities and Board service.
