An Associate Degree Program...
The Penn State School of Nursing is situated in the College of Health and Human Development.

The associate degree program in nursing provides preparation for the registered nurse licensure examination, and prepares students to find positions in a variety of health care settings, such as hospitals, or long-term care facilities. Should you decide to continue your studies, this degree can help pave the way toward a four-year degree in nursing, which may be completed at Penn State Altoona in the RN/BS program.

As nursing professionals, graduates collaborate with colleagues in nursing and other disciplines to:
  • Provide direct care to patients.
  • Develop individualized nursing care plans.
  • Help clients develop healthy lifestyles.
