The Altoona Microwave Group has had a new paper accepted for publication.  The one is titled "Microwave Absorption in Percolating Metal-insulator Composites" and appears in a December issue of Applied Physics Letters.  In some of the measurements, small samples of compressed tungsten-Teflon powders were tested in the microwave cavity pictured to the left.  The paper's list of authors includes two Penn State undergraduate students and one Masters student.  For more information on this research, go here.
