The Altoona Microwave Group is continuing its work after last year's paper in Applied Physics Letters on the percolation behavior of metal-insulator composites.  In some of the measurements, small samples of compressed tungsten-Teflon powders were tested in the microwave cavity pictured to the left.  The group, composed of three faculty members and a Masters degree student, is interested in collaborating with Penn State undergraduate students.  Interested?  For more information, go here.
