The Altoona Microwave Group has had
a new paper accepted for publication. The one is titled
"Microwave
Absorption in Percolating Metal-insulator Composites" and appears in a
December issue of Applied Physics Letters. In some of the
measurements, small samples of compressed tungsten-Teflon powders were tested in
the microwave cavity pictured to the left. The paper's list of authors
includes two Penn State undergraduate students and one Masters student.
