Position Descriptions
Director of Residence Life
The Director is responsible for
the day to day administrative duties of the Residence Life Department.
He/She supervises and provides guidance to the Residence Life Coordinators,
Administrative Assistant and twenty-three RAs. It is his/her
responsibility to insure that all residence halls are run in accordance with all
Penn State Altoona policies and community living standards.
Residence Life Coordinator
These are professional staff members,
trained in areas such as counseling, mediation, building management, discipline
and crisis. They respond to issues that are above and beyond the duties of
the Resident Assistant. Each building has an assigned Residence Life
Coordinator that lives on-site and are available to address the needs of the
community members, including activity planning, counseling referrals, community
standards issues, conflict mediation, and serving as an overall student
advocate.
Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant provides
administrative duties and additional support to the professional and para-professional
staff members.
