ALTOONA, Pa. - Women's basketball player Alicia Glasser (Marion Center, PA/Marion Center) and men's basketball player Colin Geiger (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove) are the Penn State Altoona Athletes of the Week for the week of January 5-11.

Glasser led the Lions to a 2-0 week by averaging 22 points and nine rebounds in 28 minutes of action.  She recorded a career-high 10 rebounds in a January 7 victory over Pitt-Bradford, and also tied a school record by connecting on all 13 of her free-throw attempts in that game.  To follow up that performance, Glasser notched 21 points and eight rebounds in an 81-62 conference win over Penn State Behrend. 

For the season, Glasser is leading the team with 13.6 points per game, and is second on the team with six rebounds per outing.

Geiger averaged 18 points and three and a half assists in two conference games.  Against Pitt-Bradford on January 8, he scored 23 points and pulled down five rebounds, and on January 10 against Penn State Behrend, he scored 13 points and grabbed two boards.  The victory over Penn State Behrend was only the second in program history.

For the season, Geiger is averaging 14.5 points and nearly four rebounds per game in just over 28 minutes of action.
