PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's basketball player Alicia Glasser (Marion Center, PA/Marion Center) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the week of January 12, the league office announced Monday.

The junior led the Lions to two conference wins this week over Pitt-Bradford and Penn State Behrend, keeping Altoona undefeated in the AMCC and tied for first in the standings at 5-0.

Her 23 points and career-high 10 rebounds helped her squad to a 74-70 win at Pitt-Bradford, where she also set school marks for three throws made (13-13) and free throw percentage (100%).

Against Behrend, she was equally impressive, scoring 21 points and adding eight rebounds, three assists, four steals, and two blocks to her gaudy stat line.

For the week, she averaged 22 points, nine rebounds, two assists, 2.5 steals, and was a perfect 18-18 at the charity stripe.

The award was Glasser's first-ever AMCC POW honor.
