ALTOONA, Pa. - Men's basketball player Herschell Warren (Philadelphia, PA/Simon Gratz) and women's basketball player Courtney Carroll (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) are the Penn State Altoona Athletes of the Week for the week of February 23-March 1.

Warren came off the bench to score eight points on 4-of-6 shooting during the Lions first round Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference playoff game Tuesday at Frostburg State.  He also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds in 17 minutes of floor time.

Carroll netted 16 points and dished out four assists for the Lions in an AMCC semifinal game against La Roche.  She made 5-of-11 field goals and went 6-for-10 at the charity stripe in the contest.

The next Penn State Altoona Athletes of the Week will be announced on Monday,  March 9.
