PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Junior Alicia Glasser (Marion Center, PA/Marion Center) and freshman Tamara Thomas (Altoona, PA/Altoona) were selected to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference team, and Penn State Altoona head coach Donna Kling was named the AMCC Coach of the Year, the league office announced Tuesday morning. Glasser was rewarded with second team all-league honors after averaging 12.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game this season. She led the AMCC in free throw percentage at 84% and finished 10th in the conference in scoring, eighth in assists per game (3.27), fourth in steals per game (2.85), eighth in 3-point field goal percentage (30.8%), and eighth in 3-point field goals made (32). Thomas also averaged double figure scoring at 10.9 points per night and led the Lions in rebounding at over six a game. She ranked 15th in the AMCC in scoring, 16th in rebounds per game (6.2), and third in field goal percentage (52.7%). Thomas had two double-doubles on the season and notched a career-high 27 points against Frostburg State on February 11. Kling, who just completed her fourth year at the helm, led the Lions to a 16-10 record and most wins in a season since the 2001-2002 AMCC Championship campaign. The 11 league wins set a new program record, and the squad earned the #2 seed and first-round AMCC Tournament bye. Pitt-Greensburg forward Kelsey Wilcox was named the conference Player of the Year, while Mount Aloysius freshman Kaylee Keagy, an Altoona native, earned Rookie of the Year accolades.
