PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona senior pitcher Paul Keith (Smithmill, PA/Moshannon Valley) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 9, the league office announced Monday.

Keith won the honor thanks to a dominating performance in the Lions' opening game of spring break week against Drew University in Poinciana, Florida.  He hurled all nine innings, scattering three hits and two runs while fanning 12 hitters, as Altoona earned a 7-2 victory on March 7.

The staff ace walked just one and faced only 31 batters in the nine-inning contest.  Keith, who also won AMCC Pitcher of the Week honors once last season and earned second team all-league distinction, is 1-1 on the season with a 6.75 ERA.
