ALTOONA, Pa. - Current Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week Scott Pickrell (Altoona, PA/Altoona) and teammate Kyle Yerty (Roaring Spring, PA/Central) were double winners for the Penn State Altoona men's tennis team during a 6-3 victory over PSU-Harrisburg Monday afternoon at the Ivyside Courts.

Pickrell and Yerty teamed to squeak out a 9-7 win at number two doubles, leading the host Lions to triumphs in all three doubles flights.

Pickrell then emerged victorious at number three singles, earning a 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 win.  Yerty cruised to a 6-4, 7-5 win at number four singles.

Justin Hess (Saxton, PA/Tussey Mountain) was the final Altoona winner at number six singles, winning by scores of 6-2, 6-2.

Penn State Altoona improved to 2-0 on the season and returns to action Tuesday as it hosts Pitt-Bradford at 3:00 PM.
