ALTOONA, Pa. - Baseball player Jimmy Baum (Shermansdale, PA/West Perry) and softball player Erin Cline (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) are the Penn State Altoona Athletes of the Week for the week of March 23-29.

Baum, earning his second consecutive Athlete of the Week nod, hit .444 in four games and smacked eight hits.  He also scored eight runs, knocked in four, and boasted an .889 slugging percentage. 

Five of his eight hits came in a doubleheader on March 27 against Pitt-Greensburg during which he also scored six runs and had two RBI.

Cline hit .563 in six games for the Lions, smacking nine hits to go along with 10 RBI and six runs scored.  Against Hilbert, she hit her first collegiate grand slam in game one, smacked another home run in the second contest, and finished the doubleheader with five hits and seven runs batted in.

For the season, Cline is .441 and leads Penn State Altoona in nearly every offensive category.
