PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Penn State Altoona men's tennis player Kyle Yerty (Roaring Spring, PA/Central) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 6, the league office announced Monday.

Yerty remained undefeated in singles with a 3-0 record in the #4 position this week to lead Penn State Altoona to a 2-1 record. His high school did not have a tennis team so this is his first competitive team experience.

The Lions are 5-2 and are set to travel to Pitt-Bradford tonight for an 8:00 PM match.  Yerty has also won five of his seven doubles flights, playing primarily at #2 doubles.
