ATHLETIC NEWSMen's tennis wins fourth match in five starts by beating WaynesburgWednesday, April 8, 2009ALTOONA, Pa. - The Penn State Altoona men's tennis team improved its overall record to 7-2 thanks to a 7-2 non-conference drubbing of Waynesburg University Wednesday afternoon at the Summit Tennis and Athletic Club. The Lions emerged victorious at number two and number three doubles and won every singles flight except for number six. Scott Pickrell (Altoona, PA/Altoona), Kyle Yerty (Roaring Spring, PA/Central), and Andrew Rosborough (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) were double winners for Altoona, picking up wins in both singles and doubles. Three of the Lions' five singles victories went to an extra tiebreaker set. Penn State Altoona is back in action on Monday, April 13, when it hosts Pitt-Greensburg at 3:00 PM. MORE INFORMATION...
