ALTOONA, Pa. - Just five minutes into the game, Penn State Altoona took the lead over Waynesburg on Jack Hooper’s (Minneapolis, MN/Totino-Grace) goal and never looked back.

The Lions shut out the Yellow Jackets 3-0 on Tuesday night at Spring Run Stadium to improve to 3-3-1 on the season.

Hooper took a lead pass from Nathan Sonnenthal (Lafayette, CA/Acalanes) in front of the goal and launched a shot into the top right corner of the net to give Penn State Altoona a 1-0 lead.

Joe DeSteffano (Solebury, PA/New Hope-Solebury) added a pair of goals three minutes apart to help the Lions to a 3-0 win.
