ALTOONA, Pa. - Penn State Altoona women's soccer posted a 5-0 shutout of Franciscan University on Wednesday at Spring Run Stadium.

Despite often-heavy gusts of wind during much of the game, the Lady Lions found ways to score.

Emily Reimold (Shrewsbury, PA/Susquehannock) gave Penn State Altoona an early lead with her goal at the 6:34 mark of the first half.

Later in the half, Allysia Ketchem (Lewisburg, PA/Lewisbur) took a pass from Reimold and scored to give the Lady Lions a 2-0 lead going into the intermission.

Elizabeth Watt's (Harleysville, PA/Souderton) early second half goal put Penn State Altoona up 3-0.

Laura Gajdosik (Springdale, PA/Springdale) scored a pair of goals later in the half to propel the Lady Lions to a 5-0 lead.

Lindsay Raspanti (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) made three saves in goal to earn the shutout win against the Lady Barons.
