ALTOONA, Pa. - The Lions scratched and clawed their way to 1 -0 shutout victory over visiting Pitt-Greensburg on Tuesday at Spring Run Stadium.

With offense hard to come by throughout much of the game, Joe DeSteffano (Solebury, PA/New Hope-Solebury) created some of his own midway through the second half when he sidestepped a defender and scored, giving Penn State Altoona a 1-0 lead and adding his third game-winning goal of the season.

Chris Bolea (Harmony Township, PA/Ambridge) earned a shutout in goal for the Lions.
