ATHLETIC NEWSPenn State Altoona Volleyball Holds "Dig Pink" Event on SaturdayTuesday, October 20, 2009
ALTOONA, Pa. - On Saturday, October 24, Penn State Altoona women's volleyball is holding their inaugural Dig Pink event in the Adler Gym. Dig Pink is an event held nationwide to help spread the awareness of breast cancer. The program features an all-day raffle. There will be a chance to win a volleyball signed by the two-time defending national champion Penn State Lady Lions volleyball team coached by Russ Rose, as well as items from The Longaberger Company, Martin's and others. The raffle begins at 10:00 AM and runs until 6:00 PM. You do not need to be present at the time of the drawing. The Penn State Altoona volleyball team takes on conference rival Penn State Behrend, with first serve at 5:00 PM. All proceeds from ticket sales and the raffle will go to the Side-Out Foundation supporting breast cancer awareness. Come out and support your Lady Lions and help a great cause at the same time.
