Around the World with Penn State Altoona

 Photo Contest

Enter the Penn State Altoona Office of Education Abroad's Photo Contest for a chance to have your photo professionally displayed in the Eiche Library.

Who can enter?

Any current Penn State Altoona student, faculty, or staff member who has taken a picture while traveling abroad (i.e. outside of the United States) is eligible.

What kind of photos can be submitted?

Penn State Altoona students, faculty, and staff can submit photos taken while they have been abroad (i.e. outside of the 50 United States' states).  Photos from U.S. territories - i.e. Puerto Rico - will be accepted.  We are looking for photos from recent experiences so photos should have been taken within the last five (5) years. (Note: The photos do not need to be from Penn State Altoona study abroad programs but photos from our programs are strongly encouraged).

How do you submit photos, and how many can you submit?

Photos must be submitted electronically as JPEGs at 300 dpi or better to altoonastudyabroad@psu.edu by Friday, November 6, 2009.  Up to three (3) photos per person will be accepted.

Guidelines:

Photos must be submitted electronically as JPEGs at 300 dpi or better.  Submissions should include the following:

  • Your name

  • Whether you are a student, faculty or staff member

  • The location (city, country) of your photo and when it was taken (month and year)

  • A title and brief description (no more than fifty (50) words)

The winner and honorable mentions will be featured on our Education Abroad website.

Note: By submitting photos, you permit the Office of Education Abroad to use your name in conjunction with any photographs used to promote the Office of Education Abroad in any and all media.

Submissions will become the property of the Office of Education Abroad at Penn State Altoona and can be used at their discretion.

Submission Deadline: Friday, November 6, 2009 at 4pm

 to altoonastudyabroad@psu.edu
